I must forgive first, and have compassion for myself. The more knowledge that is attained the more of an understanding I have of myself. That alone can lead to forgiveness.

Loved the exercise!
I'm usually trying to feel good about myself. But I constantly forget how important it is to feel all of my feelings. When you feel it you can understand it and even sometimes realize that it was smaller than you thought it could be. It's just such an interesting approach! I'll definitely try to do it more often.

Growing up with shame hurts the soul, body and spirit. Hate replaces love. Doubt replaces confidence. Worthlessness replaces esteem. Eventually the synergy between the body, soul, and spirit stops. We become numb. Numb to the good, the bad, and the ugly. So numb that we stop living. So numb that we need things more than people. So numb that we become unmanageable & out of control. Then the dawn breaks. We emerge out of the darkness.

Surrendering
This was helpful to surrender and sit in the discomfort of my uncomfortable emotions. By feeling the sadness and loneliness I was experiencing it gave it less power over me- thank you 🙏🏻
