Lovely centering meditation
I have been moving the past two days which has disrupted my daily self care routines. It was great to tap back into meditation with this gem- it helped me accept where I am (a time of physical and mental transition) without judgement!!

Mindfulness and me
It's a constant reminder for me to realize that life just is.....situations can be labeled good or bad at first glance. It is up to me how I interpret and react to these situations. Mindfulness is something that I may have to keep reminding myself of, but I am thankful that I have it as a tool to bring me back to what is important, by staying present. I am grateful for life just as it is moment by moment!

I had such a difficult time being aware tonight and being able to focus on my meditation. I was constantly distracted and frustrated by my distractedness.

Vulnerability
Growing up I learned my body needed to be covered & hidden. I had small boobs, a big belly, and thunder thighs. I wasn't allowed to wear shorts to school until high school. I "watched what I ate" according to my mom. So today when my pajamas went missing from my hotel I felt exposed, vulnerable & naked. I felt shame. I tried every way imaginable to cover up and hide. Instead of others shaming me, I shamed myself. I struggle seeing my own beauty and nakedness.

Mind Is Fluid
Our minds are extremely fluid and easily can run in the directions of our emotions. But by working on how we feel and focusing it on mediation we can allow our minds and thoughts to run to the emotions we choose which will overall elevate our being.

I've always hated the expression "it is what it is", but I understand that it's true and it's not the saying that stirs emotion in me it's the person saying it and the context in which it's used. Everything is what it is and how it is...how I choose to feel about everything matters. I need to learn to stop being so critical and be more accepting.

This meditation was a little difficult for me. It pertained to Awareness. I mean, I’m aware of my surroundings during meditation. I can here the clock go back and forth. I can hear the dogs breathing heavy. I can hear the water heater. I aware of my emotions. Like, I’m not getting this meditation or am I? And then the mediation is over. Poof! Thank you, Aura! the old man looked back on his long life and smiled he had been very lucky made a dream or two come true fell in love and married became a dad learned the importance of forgiveness evolved beyond his youthful years of blind ambition and ego-driven envy to arrive at the magnificent realization of just how beautiful it is to be alive to love to laugh to live well to spend his talents and energy in the service of others

This was a wonderful practice. Just to settle in and be with your thoughts, physical sensations and mental sensations just as they are. And give them permission to be just as they are.
