Appreciative
We often forget the little and simple things in life, but these are the things that give us life. This wonderful meditation reminds us of that by becoming appreciative of what we already have.
Becoming mindful of my breath, I became thankful for the life it has given me. Becoming mindful of my surroundings, I became thankful for all of senses; my ability to see hummingbirds pollinating flowers, my ability to hear birds chirping in the morning, my ability to taste an array of flavors, my ability to smell sugar cookies baking at Christmastime, my ability to touch a hand of a loved one to show I care and my ability to feel the warmth of a hug from a loved one.
Taking a little time to become mindful of these things brought a smile to my face and gratitude in my heart. Thank you, Karuna for this simple, but powerful meditation and reminding me to be grateful for the simple things in life!
