In this reflection, we explore The Blank Canvas—a metaphor for the calm, open awareness beneath all of life’s colours and storms. Our thoughts and emotions may be vivid, but they’re not the whole picture. Through a heartfelt Letter to My Mind, we offer gratitude for its efforts and gently return to the steadiness beneath it all. We end with one powerful, rhyming affirmation that repeats softly until it fades. This session is rooted in Contextual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evolution of traditional CBT that integrates mindfulness and psychological flexibility. Within this framework, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps us unhook from unhelpful thought patterns and engage more fully with life.
