This divinely inspired message is my love note to you and your younger self.  I hope it helps you immensely and that you listen often!   love Dorothy These are the words - the messages of love that are meant for you; that are important to say and to believe in. These are the words that can help you to feel better even when you do not think that feeling better is possible; even when you have been hurt so much; and most important - even when others may show or tell you otherwise - be in charge of how you feel.  Believe in yourself.  You are the one person that needs to do this most - regardless of what anyone else says or does - it matters most what you tell yourself. I feel loved
I have struggled with liking, much less loving, myself for my entire life. I have searched for, hoped for, prayed for that magic thing that would change how I felt about myself. That thing isn’t out in the world. That thing is in me. I have noticed that through my practice of mindfulness, of noticing the thoughts, feelings, emotions, physiologic responses of my body to external events, and thereby taking the time to choose how I respond, to choose the words I say to myself, I now see me as this incredible, honest, beautiful woman and mother and lover who can take on the world. And now, now I know that I can. And — the very best, most intensely powerful wonderful thing about me loving me, is that I am open to love from another. I am open to love that adds to me, doesn’t define me, and supports me to do the things I love to do. I am now able to define myself by the love I can create with another, and the me that I am is an equal part of that love. The things that I do to take care of me first, feed that love. I can now see and understand the analogy of a love relationship being a newborn baby. That baby must be cared for, attended to, intentionally thought about, and fed. That knowledge is the greatest gift I have ever received.

You are responsible for how you feel
That struck a chord with me especially in the context they used it, of someone saying something nice about you and making you feel good. This just happened to me yesterday at my old job and I felt so good. I felt needed and acknowledged -things I could not feel for myself. I have struggled with self image and self esteem for decades. But we don’t need others to give us these feelings. We control the way we feel, not others. Giving others control over us we lose our power. But we have the power and control over ourselves and our feelings, our lives and our actions - not reactions. I am learning today that I don’t need acknowledgment and confirmation from an outside source, that everything I need is within.

Loving myself
I learned that there are people who love me for who I am, not for what I look like but for who I am as a person, my family who I hold dear to me all love me. My friends who have been there for me when my family can’t be, they support me and love me. For that I am thankful

Love myself
I felt a lot of emotion because my younger self used to love her self so much and sometimes I forget that I am beautiful as I am and I matter and I’m a good person I should always love myself regardless if others don’t love me or think I’m beautiful because I am special 💕

Centering Thought
I learned that in-order to face the world and have positive outcomes I must have a positive relationship with myself. By saying I Love you to myself I am setting the tone as well as changing my view of myself. By having this inner dialogue I am changing my mind set to one that is whole, centered and at peace.

When I read the title of this audio, I thought it was going to be just another confidence booster that would make me feel okay for a few minutes, then I would go back to normal. Turns out, I was completely wrong. This audio really made me think, and I’m definitely inspired to write letters to my future and past self!!

Loving...
What a great meditation! Wisdom, Responsibility, Courage & Love... I believe these are the 4 corner posts to an authentic life well lived. Wisdom to align with the mind of God to know the right thing to do. Responsibility to want to always do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason. Courage to actually take action, in the face of danger, regardless of fear Love - for a God who allows us to Choose Love - for others who need us to act, Love - for ourselves to have Courage to Choose Wisely & take Responsibility for our actions regardless of the outcome. Now get up, get in there & give it another shot!! That is what I would have wanted to tell my younger self. ❤️☮️🍀

Strength
I learnt that I've never been loved, not by family or friends, as they have always tried to change who I truly am while growing up. So the message of remembering you are loved for exactly who you are does not apply to me. But even so, and perhaps through that, I have learnt that I am stronger than I thought possible. And I will continue to use that strength as I move forward.

Learning to love yourself
Sometimes it’s really hard to think of yourself as an beautiful, smart and good person. Sometimes we just really think bad of ourselves which can lead us to giving up sometimes. Of course you should never feel like this you should always think of yourself as the best always all the time every minute and second. When you learn to love yourself...that’s gonna be the moment you truly found your happiness

What a wonderful way to start my morning. These affirmations were so beautiful. I have let myself drift so very far away from my joyful, carefree and wonderful days. I need to remind myself that the path is waiting. That I must keep moving.

Uncertain
I really liked this session. I’m uncertain if it will work for me personally. It takes me at least 2 hours to fall asleep and I find trying to take a nap impossible. It’s come to the point now that I am tired all day and can’t sleep at night.

Love ME no matter what!
A consistent current of love should always flow through me for by me no matter what! No one is going to love me like me. My love must resonate from within and by doing so my internal love will reflect outwardly for all to know how deep my self love goes. If my love for myself is secure from within, I can love others just as much and just as strong.

Learning to love myself
I have had a lot of trouble in seeing the good in myself when it seems like no one else around me sees it. I have been hurt by the ones I love and trusted the most and that is what feels the worst. This has helped me to realize the good in my life and has shown me how to see the good in myself

Good things are coming
I sometimes need that reminder that life is a journey and not a race. Lately I have been finding myself rushing towards things that are superficial and make me happy. In the moment they do but happiness is only temporary. I need to find ways to make myself happy on my own without these superficial things. Day 1

Your happiness does not rely solely on other people or their approval/attention. Your happiness comes from you. Your worth comes from you. You deserve to believe in yourself. And you have to. Because no one else can provide you with the love you deserve from yourself. Always remind yourself of who you are and to always stay true to yourself. The only person you need approval from is you. Those who truly care for you will love you for who you are, not for who you pretend to be.

Still the strongest
My mind can understand and integrate new vantage points, play through new concepts and embrace them. The way to integrate all new things, that are more serving, then faces non-serving habits of thought throughout the day. So, I understand that my human personality needs a little nudge or assistance to ingest the new. Because feeling good is not like a college degree, that once you‘ve achieved it, it stays there on the wall in a frame. Repetition is what helps the conscious mind the most and so I return to this nugget today.

It has been a while since I’ve taken the time to meditate. I highly encourage others to do so but I haven’t been. I’ve been telling myself that it is time to begin again, refocus. This was a nice session. Helpful. An affirmation that it is time. Namaste

Loving Myself
I learned that I have never really loved nor trusted myself, my opinions, my reality. This has caused me shame, misery, doubt, and unending pain. As a child, the treatment from my father that began as severe negligence (ignoring my presence, disinterested in my interests, wants, or needs), then physical abuse at 14, and ending with abandonment into a horrific nightmare that he planned for. My mother and I suffered without stable housing, the car breaking down, shortage of food, and abandoned by those we called family. I remember always being singled out in school, tormented by other kids, raped, then constantly threatened physically. I remember in seventh grade, when I began shaking all the time, sweating through my clothes, and feeling so estranged from “normal”. I remember when I was diagnosed with scoliosis at 14. I remember the head orthopedic surgeon showing my X-ray of my spine to my parents and telling them I needed surgery. I remember my father actually doubting that this X-ray was from my back and saying that it could be anyone’s. I remember the pain stopping me from being able to work or go to school physically. I remember trying every other venue of treatment for 3 years, and the curvature doubled. I do not want to be a slave to pain, to my past, to shame, to trauma, or to fear any longer. I want the strength to be strong. I want the ability to heal and grow. I want to learn to love myself because I never have.

A message to my Young Self
Do not give up on what you believe in: it is too early to compromise your interests, to settle for the comfortable way. Go, experience, adventure yourself. Ridiscover yourself in many different guises, and then understand what makes you feel best. Do not settle for half truths, half friendships, nor half achievements. Keep holding on to what is truly important for you. Go beyond.

This message touched me deeply
This message reminded how much I don’t love myself. I’ve never had, since I was little, and I’m 36 and I haven’t learned yet. I have everything I could ask for, a loving family, a good job, a healthy body, but I’m still stuck on how much I suck in everything, how much other people are smarter than me, how much weight I have to lose to be beautiful, how I will never find a man that loves me and that I love back. I’ve felt sad since I remember myself as a person. Sometimes I just want to disappear. I want to be happy, but I just can’t.

Becoming aware
I’ve been coming to a realization that I am regularly feeling critical of myself even though I haven’t been aware of it. In fact, I thought I was positive and loving toward myself and this has come as a surprise. I’m also noticing my (almost) constant muscle tension. Its very hard to relax. I find it very hard to get into meditation and wonder if there is a connection.

Where did I go ?
I learned or should say remember that my younger self was full of spirit, happiness, and joy! I was always smiling, likely the most cheerful in the room during difficult times. I looked at the big world ahead of me and was ready to take on all of life’s challenges. Nothing would stop me! I now sit here at age 38 and wonder where did I go ? This is not me ... I used to be so carefree and happy. I never isolated myself or felt sad. I learned I need to remember who I am !!!! This person sitting here tonight is NOT ME! My husband, my girls, my family and friends must all be so worried .... I need to find my younger self again or I should say find me.
