Focusing (or not)
I love the matter of factness of this meditation. It's OK if I don't stay completely focused on the breath; just bring it back. I was intermittently focused on my broken baby toe, but was able to quickly get back into the rhythm of the breath. This is a great lesson for me. ❤️🌷

Difficult
Today, my body isn’t feeling too great. This meditation was actually quite difficult due to this, as I felt a lot of resistance towards feeling in to the tightness and contraction around my ribs and back. It’s a great indicator of what’s going on in my mind, though, and I appreciated the ability to tune in.

Tuning In...
I decided before the end of last year that my word for 2020 was going to be ‘Mindful’. Therefore, since the beginning of this year, I have been trying to be more in tune, or rather aware of, my body, my thoughts and my surroundings on a daily basis. In this wonderful meditation, I became aware of my breath. When my mind wandered off, I gently brought it back to my breath. Then I expanded my awareness to my body, as a whole, noticing any sensations, while not getting caught up in any narrative. Tuning in to my breath and body for this 7 minutes, I have a sense of clarity as well as gratitude for this moment, this day. Thank you, Jiva! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️

Good practice for mindfulness
I felt a lot of numb feelings- which is somewhat appropriate for this moment in time.
