This practice guides you into a simple 5–5 breathing rhythm—five seconds in, five seconds out—helping the body settle into a natural state of heart and lung coherence. At this pace, the breath aligns with the cardiovascular system, averaging around 5.5 breaths per minute, and is known to support nervous system regulation and emotional balance. As the breath becomes smooth and even, the heart rhythm begins to stabilise, sending calming signals throughout the body. This can help reduce anxiety, quiet the mind, and bring a sense of grounded clarity without forcing relaxation. Helpful for stress, anxious thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or as a daily reset to reconnect with a calm, regulated state.
