As a brief and less formal practice, the 3-Stage Breathing Space meditation is perfect for bringing the depth of your meditation practice into your daily life, helping you to switch off the ‘autopilot’ and be present for your experience. This recording concludes with some optional guidance on working with this practice on a day-to-day basis, guiding yourself, and spending varying amounts of time on each stage, including very brief meditations. Once familiar with it, you’ll be able to use this mini meditation at any time you find it helpful to bring a mindful moment into your day. This practice is taught in the Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy course, and I’ve found many participants find this brief meditation particularly helpful.
