Seeking more energy, focus and decreased pain. Watched Reiki With Anna in u tube and joined here! Listened to a therapist Mr. Warner and feel good enough to go shower, shampoo and shine! Actually pretty good so far.

Today doesn’t have to be like yesterday
I learned that a lot of my anxiety comes from anticipating bad things that may happen. Although I know logically that I am more likely to experience a good day or an alright day rather than an outright bad one, I find that my body is anticipating the bad feelings and beats me to the punch by triggering my fight or flight. Then it is hard for me to feel calm and safe when my heart is pounding out of my chest. Today during my session I noticed that I am able to wipe away yesterday’s energy and start fresh today. I found my mind still wandering during the session, but considering it is my first time practicing in a while, I am content with the outcome. I will not pressure myself into continuing the practice because I “should”. I will only practice when I want to because I like the way it feels to recenter and get in touch with the side of myself who feels calmer and more confident as a result of a continuing meditation practice.

I learned that taking some time for myself in the morning helps me lower my stress level and calms my mind and inner self.
