This simple witnessing meditation will help sensitize you to where your breath flows in your body. Developing an awareness of the natural breath is a key component in learning how to settle yourself for meditation.

Today is the day
That my life begins to move forward. I am hopeful it will be filled with fun, laughter, joy, and happiness. I also know it could include tears, heartbreak, and sorrow. So I am doing my best to balance hope with reality, dreams with circumstances, and faith with compassion. Wish me luck, pray often, and keep hoping & dreaming!

Breathing is such a focused, integral part in meditating; I learned to keep my mind where it needed to be.

It feels good to meditate after a harsh day. I need to be more aware of my breathing and not go to auto pilot mode.

Getting to know my breath
I learnt it helps my meditation practice to not just focus on my breath, but to really get to know my breath.

Myself
My breath is the greatest tool I have to get back to being myself when I feel I’m in a place where that is not the case.

Where?
My breath resides at the back of my throat right where the curve turns south to my lungs.

Ownership
This breathing exercise helped me feel the oxygen hitting all parts of my body. My breath lies in the top of my lungs, but today I felt it all over.

Progress
Having a little trouble with meditation. I’m new to this and have not yet learned to drown out the distractions. But I am committed to practice everyday. Progress is progress. Peace and light!

Heartbeat
Today I woke up not feeling so great, so I decided to measure my pressure, and it was low, but my heartbeat was almost at 130 per minute. I tried to get my mind out of it, but it’s so consuming and exhausting, so i used my medication and this meditation. Feeling better now, but it’s hard to get out of the bed. Don’t know what to do to make it stop

Where does your breath live?
Though I realized that my breath was physically in my mouth and it would travel through my nostrils when breathing in and out I felt the sensation of my breath mostly in my back

My breath, my peace
I learned that where my breath resides is where my calm resides, where my peace resides, and where my focus and awareness of what is true reside. It would serve me well to remember this.

Noticing...
At first, I could feel my breathing thru my nose & throat, bringing in a fresh layer of air to my lungs, like a new coat of paint freshens a room. As I deepened my breathing it became thicker & fuller more like ocean waves... washing up on the beach, cleaning the sand and taking any bad stuff away with it as it rolls back into the sea. I could feel these gentle waves start at my chest & belly and eventually wash thru my whole body as it brought freshness, life & vitality in and removed old, stale & worn out cells. By the end of the meditation I was breathing very deep & rhythmically and enjoying surfing on my breath ... Cowabunga!! 🏄✌🏼

The Awareness of my Breathing
I noticed I wouldn't inhale air as deeply as I should in my lungs before I started this session because of a childhood illness. I would evade breathing normally because of the fear of the past pain I use to feel. I recognized the presence of fear and I acknowledge the awareness with a Thank You and I begin to fill my lungs more with air as I inhaled. It's a marvelous feeling to be presence in a moment of Awareness and knows where your breath starts and stop.

Where breath lives
I found myself a bit distracted. But found breathing very soothing. Remind me to relax and take it easy. Everything is like the breath. Let it be.

Belly breathing
Really breathing means feeling it in my belly. I concentrate on long slow breaths in, pausing, and long slow breaths out. The deep and slow breathing improves my concentration and brings clarity.

Where does your breath live?
Nice exercise where I thoughtfully paid attention to all parts of the breathing body and finally decided I felt it most in my nostrils. I felt balanced at the end. If anything I wish it had been longer so I could really lost myself in my breath.

Balanced inside and out
I felt where I was breathing from and I was able to balance myself out. I tried this meditation because I felt stressed, after doing the meditation I felt less stressed. In the end I feel as if I have more space in my life to not feel so closed in by my stress and anxiety

Breath
My breaths are deep in my mid-abdomen/diaphragm. Which may mean I am improving how I feed my soul everyday. It’s a positive outlook indeed. Also it may mean I am having full control of being more peaceful every day also. 🙌
