This meditation is inspired by a spider web simile used by Ajahn Chah, a Thai Forest meditation master, and is meant to help foster creativity and experimentation with the internal meditation stance. I hope it helps with developing a lighter and more comfortable observational position in the mind. Happy experimenting! See the Ajahn Chah quote here: http://onemindfulstep.com/blog/the-spider

I need these moments
And the reason I need them so badly is to replicate them in other times of need during the day. The life's we live now bring so much stress and distractions that just settling down and feeling calm almost becomes and impossible task.

My body is a projection of my awareness
And as such, I can transform it. My self as a spider lightly posed on the web of my body... I can see my matter as a network made of pulsing lights!

Awareness of Self
It is so nice to have moments to myself, even for 7 minutes, also as a spider... These moments are very few and far between. I am so grateful for Aura :)

Being Mindful of yourself from the inside out
Being aware that it’s ok to be still and limber enough to take time to feel your energy flowing in and through out your body.

I️ need to take a step back and remember others perspectives. Struggle is a universal feeling and just because I️ am struggling does not mean others need to due to my emotions. Be patient, be kind, be respectful. Struggles and challenges are good and helpful but know when to take a step back for yourself and for others.

All Life Is Connected..
This reminded me of the Native American folk tale about Grandmother Spider and how we are all connected through the Universe by her spiderweb of consciousness. Meditating brings that awareness to the forefront and helps us continue down our path towards enlightenment. Namaste 🙏🏻

I really liked this meditation because she took you to a place where you could drift off and feel your body in tuned with what she is saying. Thank you. Have a nice day, Everyone!

Web of awareness
Although I don’t particularly like spiders the image of the web was powerful. I felt the buoyancy of the web supporting me. Like a spider uses the web to sense what is going on in his world, I used it to help me sense what is going on in my body, my world. It was very thought provoking to imagine myself suspended on my own web of life.

Web of awareness.
I am concentrating a little better. Pulling my mind back to focus on the voice. My mind constantly wanders so this is great! Even tried to be the spider in-the web, with the web acting like a blanket.

Great softening meditation. Reminded me of the sensation during the only night dive I did in Gloucester Ma in a cove with a group of friends. Glowing luminescent bio material. Perfect buoyancy, shut off our lights and just floated in perfect suspension. Imagine it would be similar to floating in space. I reconnected with that memory this morning. Thank you.

Interesting
This was a bit different than most of the meditations I’ve tried on here. At the end, I couldn’t help thinking that this was one i definitely wish was longer (I did the 3 minute version—I believe this particular meditation would be experienced much better as the 15+ minute one).

Will try to be more relaxed next time. But I’m not feeling the web thingy today.

Shivering
I actually responded well to the web analogy. It made me feel sort of like electric was coarsing through my body, like it was all connected. I think I was shivering because of the morning cold, but how is that electricity going through your muscles different than it going through a spider web?

We are connected
I learned through this exercise that you can feel everything around you. Although symbolic I could feel the street outside, the person downstairs and the universe saying good morning.

Better
I am surprised that even though I spent my entire day talking to people and interacting with my community I have been able to be very kind to myself especially as the night progresses. I can't believe meditation is working.

I am SO relaxed
While I was meditating, I was thinking, “is this ASMR?” Anyways, this was a very relaxing meditation. It is good to feel conscious and aware of all the feelings and sensations inside and outside while breathing deeply.

Saturday morning supermarket
locked my bike pulled off my gloves walked slowly brisk air steamed on exhales my fingers tingled just before the entrance I paused in a warm sunny spot removed my backpack took out my list that’s when they walked by very slowly the young girl in the green uniform was beaming as she pushed the old woman’s cart Rosy cheeks, curly brown hair, sparkling blue eyes, strong legs she exuded the proud purpose of someone who loves her work The girl said something that made the old woman smile. The old woman pointed to her car with a frail, wrinkled finger. Dressed elegantly, she was obviously a person of means. A sincere gratitude filled her eyes as she gazed up at her companion the young girl’s simple kindness had made all the difference they shuffled across the parking lot together, laughing

Web Awareness
Take a moment to relax and imagine you’re a spider chilling in your web. That web is like you’re sanctuary, where you have the freedom to do whatever you want to.

Distracted
I chose to practice the seven minute version and I found myself blinking open my eyes and distracted half way through. While I continued to sit still, I no longer had my complete attention on the woman’s voice; instead, I used the remaining time to check in with myself and meet myself where I am, rather than getting annoyed with myself for not fully participating in the entire meditation.

Awareness
In today’s lesson I learned that awareness isn’t just for meditation it is also for everyday things. In life we all can get busy and we often miss out on a lot of important things and being aware of what is around us but once in awhile it is good to take time to look around

Watchful Eye
Once a spider creates its magnificent web, it sits in the center with a watchful eye. Always alert and aware, the spider is content. When something disturbs its web, such as an insect getting caught into it, it hurries over to it to smell it. If the insect smells good, the spider realizes this as food and quickly wraps the insect up for a later meal. Once done, the spider, alert and aware with a watchful eye, returns back to its center. In this meditation, Deanna has us suspend in our web, alert and aware. After settling in my chair and taking a few deep breaths, I dropped down into my center, visualizing my body as a web. With a watchful eye, I began to sense various parts of my web for any disruptions. When I noticed anything that needed my attention, I hurried over, tending it with loving kindness. Afterwards, I went back to my center and continued the awareness process. After tending to the individual parts, my watchful eyes became aware of this web as a whole. With a watchful eye, I am alert and aware of all that happens. Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️
