This tale of unknown origin describes two wolves within a warrior that are in constant battle. Is it possible you have two wolves within you?

Which one to feed?
The one who is fed the most will have the power. Sometimes I don’t know which one to feed. I like to think that my serene wolf is all powerful and wise. He keeps me balanced and centered, loving and compassionate. My angry wolf, full of hostility and frustration, creeps out from behind and seems to overtake serene wolf, biting and growling to win. It’s scary, but he must do that for his own peace of mind. Of course it’s obvious who gets fed the most, who has the most to gain; but angry wolf must be allowed scraps enough to gentle his anger and pain.

Battle of the wolves
Each person has two wolves to themselves. One wolf that is kind and compassionate and the other is of hostility and anger. We must feed one that we choose to follow but still giving small pieces of food here and there just to ease his conscious.

Did not resonate
I did not feel any connection to this story. Maybe I'm just not fathoming the concept? The only conflict I feel inside myself is neither wild nor feral. It's far more subtle and human.

All Human
I learned that, even though there’s a battle going on inside of us, its ultimately our choice, which wolf to feed. We are in charge of the wolves, but it never hurts to get another perspective into the picture, as they can see clearly, which wolf has been fed the most.
K

Battle within ourselves
I felt like this really shows that we can’t let one or the the other. Hate or love take over because if we do we lose certain feelings that help us be human and ourselves and it’s ok to have off days because we are human and that shows our humanity.

Two wolves
This is my first time using the story part of aura. This was an amazing story. It helped me to understand that anger and frustration are a necessary part of life as long as you don’t let it consume you. You must chose which wolf to feed and which wolf will be shown but you can not have one without the other.

The words
I learned that there are going to be times when they are really hard and you might make the wrong choices, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up. You can push forward and still be happy. Hating the way you act bad, can be even worse. Your hating the same kind. It would be no use for that.

Gaining control
I learned that I need to recognize and own my feelings in order to have better control over what I am projecting to others, and how I am projecting myself to others.. I need to except myself entirely, not just the pieces I pick & choose, but all aspects and all personality traits. I need to become familiar with the parts of me that may be negative because if I am to have control over them, I must first accept and learn to understand where they come from and what triggers them

Balance
One thing we need to recognize it that we each need both wolves. There is a time and a place for anger, when properly directed it can be a powerful tool. We can’t just go through life suppressing our anger. But we can’t be angry all the time either. We have to recognize that both are present and both have a purpose.

What I learned
I learned that one wolf in me is kind gentle one and the other wolf is the anger wolf. I learned that if I stop getting into fist fights and fighting others I will stop feeding the anger wolf and there will be more of a valence.

Two Wolves
I learned that I am not alone in feeling like I have both a negative and positive self-critical voice in my head. Too often, when I get stressed out, I allow my “negative” critic to control my thoughts which lead me to feel intense anxiety, self-doubt, and feelings of not being good enough. I need to be more aware when that voice chimes in, and block it out, and let the “positive self-critic voice” chime in so I can learn from the situation and grow from it and be my own best cheerleader instead of my own worst enemy. This was a very short, sweet and inspiring story with such an important moral to reflect on.

What I know about your two selves.
Just like the tale says, getting rid of one will not help. Accepting the good and bad will do much more than help or even bring peace. It will clarity, self respect, confidence and more. Even more courage than you already had. Probably because now that you’ve accepted all of yourself, your more focused on the outside, rather than in.

My wolves.
Lately, life has been rough. My mind is blurry with thoughts, and I feel as if I can’t get anything right. I’ve been feeding the wrong wolf, they’ve been in constant battle inside me and I’ve been helping the wrong one. This wolf feels as if he can control everything, but I have realized I need to feed the other wolf. The one who knows who I am and wants the absolute best. This wolf is kind and compassionate, this wolf is the me I know I am. The other is the wolf I know I can be. Neither can control each other, the owner does the controlling. I am the owner.

Wolves Within
I felt inside me the two wolves and reflected on those wolves coming out in real life. You do not want to overly feed either wolf because that would make you fearful to bring out the other. It is impossible to hide both forever therefore a balance must be in place. While you do not feed anger and aggression, you also should not be overly happy and joyful all the time. Sadness and anger is part of life just don’t overindulge in it. Next time you feel angry, simply create a neutral feeling inside yourself and find the balance between your two wolves. Next time you feel happy, sable the feeling but do not become overly happy and indulge in THAT to much either. Simply be excited for the moment inside and do not over excite on the outside.

The One You Feed Podcast
When I saw the title of this story I knew it was referencing to the old parable of the two wolves, which I've already heard of from the One You Feed podcast, which is about mindfulness, meditation and improving yourself and not giving in to your desires or your bad wolf. Hearing this story made me relate more and reference it to my myself than compared to hearing Eric recite it on his podcast every episode.

I learned that yes, everyone has evil and anger within them but also happiness and tranquil. This helps us to see the light at the end of the tunnel and keeps us journeying on. However we must control our anger and learn to not lash out at those around us. We must pause, meditate, think and turn that raging anger into something positive.

Feeding...
This story is a great example of my favorite saying “Where Focus goes, Energy flows” As it pertains to our emotional wolves. I have somehow always chosen to feed the happy, honest, compassionate wolf over my life and actually felt guilty whenever my angry wolf would appear. But this story is saying I should not try to eliminate the negative wolf in me entirely. Hmmm... Let me think about that... there is positive & negative in everything and everybody, so I guess that applies to me to. And apparently I can not rid myself of him entirely? So I guess I should ideally keep him fed just enough to keep him alive but weak... right?!? I just did not like the description of him at all deceitful, angry, liar etc. I guess he may serve a purpose in me In the case I need to kill something entirely evil. But even that is very hard for me to imagine that I would need him around for that because he might try to deceive me to keep the evil alive... but maybe we can never get rid of evil entirely!? ❤️☮️🍀

Which one?
This was a great reminder of how we all have an internal war going on inside of us. We must choose wisely as to which wolf to feed in order to get the desired outcome we are searching for. One way I like to tittle the two wolves are “Fear” & “Confidence”. Feed the wolf “Fear” and nothing but fearful things and thoughts come to us. Feed the wolf “Confidence” and there’s nothing to hold you back. This was right on time.
D
Doug
Feed the positive side of you!
We all have two separate sides of ourselves: the positive, confident and kind self, and the negative and doubtful self. We need to continuously build up our positive self. We are whichever self we feed the most. So the key is to think positive thoughts, and to notice and observe the negative thoughts, without being influenced by them

I’ve battled my two wolves for my whole life. Occasionally over feeding one and making it powerful than the other. But this story provides good insight into the balance of feeding energies. I learned that trying to completely destroy all anger will only make more struggles. If I am to better myself, I must “feed” my more compassionate self.

Picture the wolves!
I understand the notion of the 2 wolves like raava and vaatoo. I will try to feed Raava the wolf. I wanna practice visualizing them in a real situation to increase mindful choices of action.

If you have anger don’t try to fight it or have a war with it let I go, surrender.

Inner-self
I learned that I am in control of how I feel about certain situations, so my reaction depends on with emotion I allow myself to feel. If I choose to react with anger that is not anyone’s fault but mine but if I chose to react with understanding, it might just change the outcome of the situation.

Two wolves
I got emotional when I realized I’ve been feeding the fearful wolf the month of September 2020 and most of 2020. I will acknowledge my fearful wolf and start feeding my peaceful wolf and kind wolf that thinks positively

Balance is important ..Yin Yang🐕🐇
I can balance my life. Be present. Grow and learn. Sometimes I may feel like howling, and that’s ok in moderation.

Tale of two wolves
I learned that it's ok to have two sides to yourself even when one sides not as good as the other and to embrace both.

Two inner wolves
I learned that cultures all over the world understand the duality in human beings — warlike and peaceful, strong and fragile, angry and forgiving — all in one person. Feeding the peaceful wolf is like finding and polishing the inner gem in ourselves and letting the anger, while acknowledging it, slip to the side.

Wow
I learned that these two wolves inside of us are wolves that we cannot tame or favor, but we do have control, although we may not think it at first, we do, and whichever wolf we choose to feed will be our choice, and these two wolves will never be at peace unless you are with yourself, thank you for this valuable lesson.

Two Wolves in Me
This story hit home today. I have been trying so hard to feed the good wolf, and I failed again today. It’s something that I did to myself, so, at least, I am not hurting others. If you knew, you would understand. It’s not drugs, sex, alcohol, or anything like that. I am so thankful that you shared this story; it was exactly what I needed to hear and contemplate. Thank you.

The Two Wolves
I first heard this story from my Mother In Law who is Native American. Her version ended with the punchline but I still was fascinated by the story. Now that I have heard the the rest of the story, I enjoy it even more!
