This is an original recording that I made during my travel and research in Tibet for my course "Crossing Tibet", which is also available on Aura. The traditional bone trumpet (kangling), drums & throat singing is used for mediation and is well suited for going to sleep, as it puts you in a dreamlike theta state that you encounter in REM sleep. The relaxing effect of music is one of the most inherent functions of this medium. The chant has a stress-reducing potential and lets your thoughts run free.
