The Map Is Not The Truth

Tonight’s story is about an old mapmaker named Samuel, a hidden valley, and the mistake almost every seeker makes at some point. He knows the valley through maps, stories, reports, and careful drawings. He can name the rivers. He can mark the trails. He can describe every bend in the land. But he has never actually stood there. That is the difference between knowing about the truth and directly seeing it. Books matter. Scriptures matter. Teachers matter. Maps matter. But the map is not the valley. The word water does not make you wet. The word fire does not warm your hands. At some point, you have to walk.
