When we are under stress for long periods of time without addressing the main cause of our stress, this leads to burnout. There is no quick fix for burnout. It takes time for your mind and body to recover from this state. I have been recovering from burnout for almost a year now. For me the main cause of my stress is having way too much on my plate with little help. Unfortunately, this has impacted my health greatly. My adrenal glands are burnt out which has lead to adrenal fatigue. In order for my body to heal, I have had to accept this season in my life and make many adjustments.
