The Adamant Door

A young country boy named Hugh enlists in the army. He becomes friends with a fellow soldier named Jocelyn, and they face the trials of battle together. During a fierce fight, Hugh is separated from his comrades and flees the battlefield in shame. He later learns of a legendary treasure hidden in a ruined castle, which he hopes to use to ransom Jocelyn and his comrades who were captured by the enemy. The treasure is said to be guarded by terrifying creatures, but as Hugh ventures into the castle, he realizes that the true challenge is not mythical beasts, but his fears.
