Unintentionl vs intentional
I learned that forming the habit of intention takes effort until it becomes the habit. I thought about what I do at the beginning of each day and realized the actions are learned overtime because of the feedback received. So I ask myself if the intentional action having the desired effect? Do I feel better or experience happy or receive a desired positive feedback from the intentional action? My goal is to want to do the intentional action that improved my life, that creates a smooth day, that ultimately sets my day off on a positive path. To replace one habit for another is to consciously be aware of the positive experience I have from the new action.

I noticed that I was starting the day by thinking about what I have to do instead of living with intent . The coach really matched that current situation.
This is a good reminder of how to be, not what to do. I am fighting alcohol and weight. My partner has moved away from me in her life choices. I have to accept that.

Daily intentions
I realized I do grab my phone and usually begin my day with comparison. I really love the why she put into real life activities how to set the intentions for the day, like it doesnโ€™t have to be a 15 min meditation that I forget to do. Something I can actually do consistently without a lot of change is nice.

The word "slow" or "slowly" kept coming to mind. Most of my life I have moved so fast. I want to be slower

There is a saying that goes โ€œhow you start your day, is how you live your day. How you live your day, is how you live your life.โ€ This ties into one of CBTโ€™s principles, which is thoughts affect feelings, and feelings affect behavior. We should start our day with intention and the mindset that this start will pave a path for the rest of the day.
