This meditation is helpful to begin to create more "mental space" in your practice and as a result, you will begin to hold your experiences with more ease and less reactivity. The more you do this practice, the more you will find this "spaciousness" in your everyday life. With this meditation, you learn that you have the ability to shift your focus from a single object such as ( the breath, hands, or feet) to more open awareness. You also have the capacity to choose to move from spaciousness back to a single object of focus.
