Simple yet significant
When I was listening to the meditation, my eyes opened because of the word "posture". The speaker mentioned that posture, according to research, affects people's self-esteem. If you don't observe the proper posture, it means that you let self-doubt overpower you, but if otherwise, confidence reigns. You may think that this habit is just simple, but keep in mind that this simple habit is also significant in our lives.

Very true
I have been noticing or paying my attention to my posture and it’s very true that when I sit up with my shoulders back I do feel better than when I am slumped over. I feel more alert when my chest is open.

Raising self esteem
I have found that meditating has helped my posture. Being mindful of a straight back, breathing deeply and evenly and observant of what is going on around you have also helped my self esteem. Taking time for yourself gives you a sense of your own value. I have noticed improvement and I am more confident since practicing mindfulness.

Posture
I've definitely made the connection between posture and self esteem or how the self esteem of other people appears in the past. In public I will often remind myself to sit up straight and feel better doing so. It was interesting to have these thoughts confirmed.

Confidence
I should have more confidence in myself and my abilities. I’m in control of myself and I shouldn’t let others affect my confidence or mood.

Posture
I noticed that when I corrected my posture, I was much more mindful and alert. Also, I felt more confident and happy. It really worked!

Important stance
I forget the simple effects my shy and insecure mindset is having on my body. And hopefully how easy it will be to change the way I am not only perceiving the situation but also how they perceive me. Wish me luck guys. I am beyond nervous in a sadly simple and common setting

Posture
I really love when you get scientific reasoning behind stuff and this was brilliant, immediately when I pull my chest out and rolled my shoulder back I felt 10 feet tall, maybe all my negative thinking has to do with my bad posture

Posture
I really felt the difference of the slouching posture to the more open posture. even switching from slouching to more open I smiled I have no idea why but suddenly I felt a little happy.

Posture/Auras/Chakras
I’ve taken a course on reading people’s auras & posture is a big part of it. You can also tell if certain chakras are blocked based on posture. Self-esteem, auras, & chakras are all interconnected. Usually if you learn to heal one, the others will follow.

My posture
I recently saw I picture someone took of me and I noticed that I sat very hunched over. I was embarrassed by this. I enjoyed this Life Coaching session because it reaffirms how much I need to work on my posture. I don't want to be hunched over, and I really don't want to be depressed.

Thank you Matthew. I turn to this a lot. Opening my heartChakra and is standing tall in that and petition. I thank you because I am now able to share these suggestions with some of my students in Korea where life is very tense. It was great great to hear back from somebody on here, anybody.

Posture
I will try this while I'm in work today. I think I'm guilty of simply walking around with my shoulders curled.

Poor posture, low self-esteem
I noticed the difference when slouching and then sitting more up right. I will try to be more mindful of this throughout my day as I work at a desk most of the day. It is interesting that poor posture is directly related to low self esteem and depression.

Posture
As a physical therapist this is the first exercise I teach every patient/client. Most people initially tell me it feels awkward which is understandable...we all spend most of out time in forward and flexed positions. But recently I had 2 women one one week tell me they also felt like people would think "what is she so proud about, does she think she's something special?" I found this so sad and it was not lost on me that I never heard this from a man.

Boosting Self Esteem
Our self esteem has an effect on many areas of our life. One simple way to boost our self esteem is by our posture. Shoulders back, back straight, with our head tilted up a bit can help us to feel more confident. It will also help with how we are feeling mentally.

Chest up, eyes forward
Posture, today I’ve been slumping, feeling really low physically and mentally, partly to do with weight gain and internalised negative body image, this was a good reminder that just watching my posture whilst breathing rhythmically can help alleviate the lows and move forward rather than feeling stuck and icky!
