Judges - Part 1 - Deborah and Gideon

Up to now, the books of the Bible have focused on a few key people. The book of Judges, however, goes away from having just one main character and starts to tell the stories of many heroes. Some of these heroes were, obviously, judges in the sense that they held an office. Others have a more military presence and emerge to help resolve conflicts. Both types were raised each time the people of Israel turn away from God and land in the hands of oppressed nations. And they do this on repeat. So many heroes have stories to share that we will take two sessions to cover this book. This is the first session.
