That this meditation should suggest envisioning someone’s face. Just this morning, as my wife was leaving for work, I noticed in her face a look that is very characteristic for her. As I saw that look, it really stood out to me. I realized that was something unique to her, and I appreciated it. (It was a good look, not “the” look!) I’m very grateful for my wife.

Embrace honest detailed criticism from those that love you.
You’re not structured. You don’t value structure and planning because you get a mental high from juggling ideas and listening/reading different viewpoints on different topics. What do you want? You’re taking in all this information and allocating way too much time to way too many topics, yet you don’t have a plan for where any of this is going. You’ve become hooked on abstract ideas and that’s a great trait, but have you ever tried structured chaos? Taking these array of ideas and actually drawing them out OBJECTIVELY to understand where this map is taking you? I understand you love watching successful people and listening to their ideas, but are you even listening to yourself? These people became great by taking in this information and helping out their hypothesis. Not just taking in the information and regurgitating it to others to sound smart. Don’t take in others knowledge and think that now it’s yours. Create your own blueprint.

I am grateful for the big picture, the mosaic of little things that make up my life. I truly am blessed. Yet, in this practice I was unable to drill down and be grateful for a thing, or a person. I get fearful; I don’t want a person to get too close. I don’t want my happiness to depend on a thing. Fear? If I let someone/something get too close, it might get taken away? For now, to be grateful, I will continue to stand back, alone and detached, and admire my blessed life from afar. Any closer makes me quite uneasy.

Instead of always being sad or bored by things we don't have, we should be thankful to good things we have : friends, family, music, nature... it doesn't we don't have to work for things we really want but just no become sad of it. Moreover, we really should to say thank you to our people for being here with us and say to them how much they count to us and how much they make us happy.

Today I did my meditation on Gratitude by Now with Dea. After having an emotional breakdown during my shower today I really needed this time to just sit and relax and rethink some things. After doing this I learned that I have to practice gratitude. It’s something I genuinely feel I struggle with. I’m not as grateful for things as I should be and it’s not right. However due to this meditation I will end up working on this and practice gratitude more often.

Love can defeat hate
I learned when you focus on the good, when you focus on the positivity, you feel happier. When you cut out most negativity, some weight is lifted off of your shoulders. The more you focus on the darkness than light is damaging. When you focus on the light and soak in all the love and positivity that we have in our lives, we can defeat any kind of darkness. This knowledge is so helpful. You can spread love and it soon becomes a domino affect. You spread love, that person can spread it, than that love can grow and grow. It can grow into something beautiful.

Took my own advice tonight by stepping away from a task that just wasn’t going my way. I knew I would get angry so I sat down, closed my eyes, did some slow breathing exercises and then had some ice cream. When I went back to my task I was relaxed and guess what?! It worked and the task is now completed. Sounds a little silly, but I’m rather proud of myself. Thanks Dea, for this sweet and gentle meditation. 🙏

What a Happy session this practice was! I was smiling and feeling all warm & fuzzy thinking about my mom! I am so grateful for her & all she has done for me over my life. She taught me to know right from wrong, how to set goals and in general how to be a good person. Excuse me, but my eyes are leaking on my phone... Whew... where was I? Oh yeah, feelings of Gratitude. What a powerful thing Gratitude is! I try to use it for every little thing, all day long. Almost like a game, what can I be grateful for right now? And now?! How about now? I believe If we can be grateful for the little things, we will eventually be entrusted with bigger things to be grateful for. A simple pat on the back or smile knowing we did a good job at something and letting ourselves know that is a good way to show gratitude. I love the idea of experiencing more gratitude and believe it could make a significant positive difference in my life. I’ve thought about keeping a “gratitude journal” by my bed to jot down a short list of things I’m grateful for every night, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. This was a tough session for me though—a few distractions in the house and realized toward the end that I’d been pretty tense throughout. Maybe it’s Valentines nerves :)

Thank you, Dea! I haven’t seen my Mom in 7 months and I am about to see her in a week in a half. I am taking a train to CA to visit for a few weeks. I am excited. This was a great meditation for me just to visualize and take in. My last trip was to take care of someone and wasn’t on a good note. I have good faith this one will be a lot different. Parents don’t get any younger. We grow up and grow farther. I miss her so much. Happy Valentines Day, Everyone!😀

When thinking of a person in my life that I am grateful for, I first saw my boyfriend who I had just spent some of the day with. I keep a gratitude journal even though some of the things you’re greatful for don’t last forever, by recognizing them at the time you are recognizing that life can be good and that it’s worth it. And that way when those things are gone, you got the most out of them that you could.

I am feeling my breath leave my body and I can tell that am relaxed because it makes me feel numb. When I opened my eyes I felt like I left the sage calm place and I want to go back. I am grateful for the premise of this meditation, however I noticed that mature ears have a bit of difficulty hearing a soft voice. When I struggle to hear or have to hold the phone closer to my ear, I notice that my mind tends to wander and I don’t get as much out of the meditation. I think there’s a fine balance between a soft gentle voice appropriate for meditation and a voice loud enough for mature ears to hear without struggling.

I learned that gratitude is a daily thing and it is very important. I already knew this, but with life and having a bad day yesterday. This message was a great reminder for me. I think everyone needs this reminder daily. To just stop and practice gratitude daily throughout our day to day life. It can be easy to get caught up in wanting more and more or focusing on what is wrong or negative.. but if we our constantly practicing gratitude it makes it very hard for us to be negative and not see the brighter side of things. It’s not that we’re naive it’s that we know life is hard and that hints are brutal but we choose to send our life happy and focusing on all that we have and making it a daily practice to be grateful. A positive mind will give you a positive life. ❤️

In this session, I ended it by crying tears of JOY! I saw and heard two the people that I love the most. My love...Brandon. His face showed up and made me smile STUPID big for the longest time. I felt happiness in my soul. During the last part of this session, I remembered that awhile ago I had prayed to my sister who’s in heaven, and God to help me with patience and some other things. That is all happening in my life right now. NOTHING material, just REAL, RAW, inner happiness that I have never experienced before. It’s almost indescribable.

I did this meditation after a positivity meditation. I think both are so important, and in addition to gratitude for the positive I want to learn gratitude for the harder things; I think it helps reinforce both an in-the-moment being present and also a longer perspective of how things in my life fit, or don’t fit, together. It sounds like a juggling act but I don’t think it has to be. Of course, the other thing is that I frequently want to take notes during such meditations. So I’ll listen to both again, grateful for the wisdom they impart.

I am grate for the power(s) greater than myself that brought me a meeting about detach with love today. I am a double winner and co-dependent behavior doesn’t discriminate anyway so I see the benefit in that phrasing for me as an ACOA as well as an alcoholic. When I detach with love from another alcoholic who is trying to prove she isn’t, I benefit myself by establishing and then respecting my own boundaries, and I benefit others by allowing them to find their own path. If I wasn’t who I am right now, in this moment, I wouldn’t have known this gratitude and how good it feels.
