I feel so relaxed and better after listening to Aura's 'thinking out of the box' story!
I learned that one needs to calm down in a stressful situation and look for possible options to solve the problem. It feels lost and difficult in while you're in the situation but never losing hope should always be the attitude.

This morning, there is a bit of anxiety spiking in me. This meditation helped me find the space where I feel safe, a beach surrounded by cliffs where I can find seashells, interesting driftwood, and simply float in the water. A lot of anxiety causes the feeling of not being safe, and taking a few minutes to find that safety can make all the difference.

I visualized sitting on the beach, watching the waves. This was very soothing. I felt immersed in the setting.

If im stressed i can go to my imaginary safe place. In my mind, just thinking about it, will maybe help calming me when im stressed. Or i could visit some place that i associate with it, like a meadow full of flowers. Just sitting there, or reading something will help me in tough times.

I felt a calmness as I imagined myself on my favorite beach. The sights of the crashing waves and feeling sand in my toes. My phone turned off and my mind tuned into the sounds and beauty of the breeze. I can be alone as comfortable. I can feel safe and secure, and be content with being alone with myself. I felt...free

Nowhere feels safe
I'm not sure that someone can repeatedly just tell me to feel safe. I was hoping for something more. I think the only helpful sentence was about imagining no one expects anything from me. But I just spent the session feeling my anxiety get worse as I kept thinking about how nowhere is safe. I live on 40 acres, it looks like heaven, but my parents are here for quarantine & it's the most difficult thing.

I felt safe when my Dad was alive, now that he is gone I feel I'm alone and my protector is gone. It's a lonely feeling, he was my heart. I knew no matter what happened he had my back, now no one does.

I learned that it's okay to have time for myself. I felt safe and secure. I saw myself in a forest, walking up and down a stone path as I watched a waterfall rain down on a natural river. I stopped for a drink, feeling energized and refreshed as I took a rest by the waterfall.

Nitima does an egg-sellent job on this meditation. I found my safe place on a private beach in Florida where, a few years ago, we had rented a beach house for the week when my son was getting married. I was alone on the open beach with the fire I had built in a pit in the sand. Listening to the contrast of the sharp Crackle & pop of the dry driftwood burning against the soothing backdrop of the rhythmic rolling waves... Ahhh... feeling the flame’s warmth while watching the dancing glow of the embers keep time to the flowing breeze coming off the ocean. It was magical & I felt safe. Not needing a thing, not thinking a thought, just being one with the moment... Then she said to put my hand on my heart, which I did. I could feel the rhythm of my pulse & as I looked into the fire deeper... the yellow glow took over and surrounded me. I was safely in a yellow embryo like a yolk in a very large egg. Protected by my shell I could completely relax. She said something that gave me a profound sense of security for the future, (despite all the seeming uncertainty being publicized). She said we are planting the seeds for our future safety & security, by feeling safe & secure in this now. Wow! I am securing my future feelings of safety by planting the seeds of safety & security in this current Now (the only time we can really act) Plus, whenever I am feeling uncertain, scared or worried, I have this memory stored in my heart that I can return to & release anytime, anywhere with anybody by simply putting my hand on my heart & mentally returning to enjoying my beach fire from the safety of my egg!! Thanks Nitima for this most useful meditation tool. I will add it to my collection. Namaste 🔥 🥚 in🍀

My anxiety quieted down and I feel very relaxed. It's amazing how tight muscles can get when you don't realize they are tense. Only once you acknowledge them and purposely relax them
