Bathed in Kindness
Getting settled in my body and mind, I brought my awareness to my breath. Sensing the cooler morning air enter my nostrils on my inhale and the warmer air exit them on my exhale, I became one with this abundant gift that continues to give every moment. Feeling relaxed, I
Bringing my awareness from my breath to memories that swept me up into a joyous and happy state, I began reliving those moments in my mind. By thinking of those moments of joy, emotions began generating in my body. From the top of my head to the tips of my toes, happiness poured into every cell of my being. Bathed in kindness from the inside out, I came back to focusing on my breath. With a smile on my face, I sensed the joy I felt by bathing in this kindness.
Opening my eyes, I looked around in my surroundings. Seeing squirrels chase each other around a tree, I sensed that they too, were feeling joyful. Feeling light, I intend to share this joyful state with everyone I come into contact with as well as in everything I do.
Our thoughts have a direct result on what emotions we feel. Indeed, what the mind thinks about, the body feels. I think Abraham Lincoln said it best when he said, โWe are as happy as we make up our minds to be.โ Namaste ๐๐ปโค๏ธโฎ๏ธ
