This beautiful story made me think of a moment when my best friend from Canada was here visiting. It was our 1st night at the cabin sitting on the couch, enjoying a cup of tea, and just talking about anything that came to mind.

Best moment of my life

Since I have a similar experience, this story reminded me of one of the highlights of my life: My son was two years old and I was putting him to bed. We read bedtime stories and small talked a little and after a while he fell asleep on my arm. I let him sleep for a few minutes before I slowly and gently tried to get my arm out from under his head. Despite me being so careful, he woke up briefly by the movement. Before he fell asleep again, he softly mumbled: ‘I love you, mom’. It was the first time he had ever spoken those words and a huge wave of thankfulness and love just came over me. I started to cry from overwhelm. As I laid there in the dark with tears rolling down my cheeks, filled with love, I thought: “This is a moment I will remember for as long as I live.” ❤️❤️❤️

Be present. It is harder and harder to do that with so many distractions. I am trying to better on being in the moment
