This simple yet powerful conscious breath practice enhances focus, clarity, and nervous system regulation. We begin with a 4-4-4 breath cycle, inhale for four, hold for four, and exhale for four. Then, we deepen into a 4-6-8 cycle, inhale for four, hold for six (taking a small sip of air before holding), and exhale for eight with a controlled, hissing release. This breath expands the chest, oxygenates the brain, and downregulates the nervous system. An excellent tool for athletic preparation, it centers the mind and body, promoting calm, strength, and heightened awareness.
