An exercise all about your body. Because most of what we do when we meditate or practice relaxation, goes on in our heads, you could start to think of relaxation as a purely mental process. Nevertheless, there are marked physiological aspects to relaxation. Not only do you feel physically more relaxed, your body also changes. Your heart rate drops, your breathing slows down and the tension in your muscles lessens. And if you know how your body feels when it's relaxed, there's a good chance you can bring yourself into a relaxed state more easily.
