To Let Go
I learned that as I notice things whether they bother me or not I need to just let them go in the moment and not hold on to them so much, otherwise they will drive me crazy and I will go mad. Instead hold on to the things that matter to me and that will improve me and better me as a human being and as a person of who I want to one day become.

Realistic and helpful
I listened and learned my mind wondering or getting distracted during meditation is very real but can I can come back by easily focusing on my breathing. This session was helpful to me that if I found myself wondering in another thought or getting distracted it was ok I didn't fail at the process, I just had to come back to the simplicity of breathing.

As I was waiting for the bus I was finding myself getting really anxious about past circumstances and I turned this on and did deep breathing and focusing and it brought my mood right Down. The thoughts are not gone but it calmed my mood to the point where I didn’t go into full panic attack mode.

This past week and month has been quite turbulent for me, so having a few minutes to just settle in and be present with myself felt rewarding and calming.

I’m learning to be at peace with thoughts and intrusive feelings or to-do lists. Even bodily pains and sensations can be put on hold when I tell myself, “It doesn’t have to happen right now.” Mentally addressing something’s existence without having to do anything about it immediately is freeing, but difficult.

Like many other meditations, breathing is so important. It is a point of focus and to let your mind go completely blank of distracting or bad thoughts. It gives the mind a break in a way. I liked this meditation a bit because it might not necessarily be pleasant or easy for all but it’s a good practice regardless.

I learned that like in life, in a mindfulness practice, the mind will wander/wonder; thoughts will travel in and take the mind's attention away from the breathe. End of a long day

A lot to do
From 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, my world is a blur of academic efforts and community service projects—with sports, music, and a few brief sessions of supporting and inspiring others along the way. I want to make a difference and be successful, but as a thirteen-year-old thrust into an adult’s world by her own values, it’s not easy to maintain self-esteem at the same time. Finding quiet and revitalization in daily meditation is my escape route, a much healthier one than the self-harming behaviours I’m still trying to overcome. Today, Aura has been a blessing to me. I hope it will be one to all of you. ❤️💕🙏

“Don’t expect anything else.” In multiple sessions I have been told to acknowledge my mind wondering on my muscles tensing but that that is okay. I can bring it back and not expect anything else, no anger or defeat and that helps me a lot.

Though breathing is constantly happening, an unceasing repetition of drawing in and expelling, focus on this unending duality brings a sense of peace hard to match. Understanding the duality of breath draws attention to all duality, between life and death, wakefulness and sleep, pain and joy. All can be reduced to the simplicity of drawing in and pushing out.

I noticed about halfway through I felt a relaxing feeling as if I myself was melting away. starting at my toes all the way up to my shoulders. I've never done meditation/breathing exercises or what not but I'm looking forward to figuring out not only myself and my depression/anxiety but hoping to help my 10 year old son as I help myself(he was diagnosed with anxiety in January). I learned that when you’re trying to focus on slow calming breaths, you don’t have to push away thoughts. You need to recognize that they are there, and only bring your attention to them for a momebt. Then return back to your breathing to calm down

I got some medical news that has me feeling anxious, after several days of coping well with similar news I got two weeks ago. The meditation experience is totally different. That wandering mind is in overdrive, and 7 minutes seemed like too long a time to sit still, when just yesterday it seemed like too short a time!
