Today we’ll explore how we spend much of our lives on autopilot, unaware of what’s happening around us and lost in our thoughts. In this mode, we are more likely to “get our buttons pushed” and respond in an unhelpful reactive manner to unpleasant events that can trigger negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Mindfulness can help us to shift out of this mode and return to our senses. We’ll also explore the seven pillars of mindfulness and how they can help us to navigate life with a greater sense of calm. Finally, you’ll learn another breathing meditation technique to help the wandering mind.
