Holding Presence
We have been conditioned to look outside of ourselves for affection, for guidance, for love. In this beautiful meditation, Nitima shows us a way to give ourselves affection by holding presence with our breath and heart. I connected with my breath and scanned my body for any tension. Feeling areas of tightness, I used my breath to soften those areas. I also straightened my posture. Realizing thoughts were in planning mode, I brought my awareness back to this breath flowing in and flowing out of this body. Focused on my breath, I brought my hand to my heart. Allowing my hand to feel my heartbeat and my heart to feel the warmth of my hand, a beautiful presence formed. Holding presence for my heart, it softened. Immense gratitude for what this heart does to keep me alive radiated throughout my body. Holding presence for my breath, itโ€™s rhythm slowed. Immense gratitude for being alive radiated throughout my body. Filled with gratitude, kindness naturally arose, giving me the ability to give it to myself and to others. Kindness inward, kindness outward. What a beautiful way to hold presence today! Thank you, Nitima! Namaste ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธโ˜ฎ๏ธ
