Emotions come and go like changing weather patterns. But sometimes we hold onto negative emotions so long that we can get lost in them, finding it hard to let them go. Learning that we have a choice as to how long we hold on to them can be liberating.

This is an assertive style of communication, when used surely allows the other person to understand you better. I would like/love/appreciate _____________( suggest an alternate behaviour).

Use assertive communication by using 'I' statements, expressing emotions and suggesting alternate behaviors in communication.
