The River Never Divided Them

Tonight’s story is about a town split by a river. The north side and the south side have hated each other for so long that nobody even remembers where the feud began. They call each other arrogant, rough, selfish, and foolish. Then the old bridge breaks, and a quiet bridge builder named Thomas Reed is hired to rebuild it. But what he really builds is not just a bridge. He builds a reminder. The river did not create two different kinds of human beings. The river simply ran through the town. The people created the separation, worshipped it, and then suffered because of it. But underneath the surface, there are not two.
