When the last time was that you sat with nothing to do? In our busy lives, we rarely allow ourselves time to just do nothing. This track will help you to see the benefits of doing less, being more present, and soaking in the nature around you.

Nice to sit quiet
Doing nothing is something we need to just do and not feel guilty about it.

Quiet
Nature is actually quite noisy but with a calming effect. Many birds calling, splashes of water.

Bathing in Nature
When was the last time you did nothing? Our days are often full of many tasks with very little downtime. It is important to take a few moments to simply just be to give ourselves a break. It is very beneficial to our well-being. Bathing in nature is a simple way to do just that. You can take a few moments to just sit outside soaking up the sun, lay in the grass, go for a walk without having the expectation of getting somewhere, and taking in the sights and sounds around you. My intention for the day will be to make time in my day to enjoy the outdoors. To simply be for a few moments.

Nature.
I need to ground more often not hare off to do things, but to sit quietly and think about the fact that I am alive, in such a time as this!

Doing nothing
I never thought about how much I feared doing nothing. I need to be okay with just being with myself.

The Sweetness of Doing Nothing. In today’s stressful world which may include daily work commutes and juggling a thousand other responsibilities- setting aside time to do nothing but be still especially sitting in nature - is like gelato ( ice cream ) for the soul!! So Good!!

Doing nothing
Peace exists outside of the constant need to do. I realized how many times I thought I was “doing nothing” and how I actually want to make the most of my time off work for the holidays

The Beauty of Doing Nothing
I have done a number of meditations before with the theme of “choosing to do nothing” or similar. But none as profound and helpful as this. We tend to think of doing nothing as a way to “take a break” from the stressful chaos of life. But in our hyper-productive culture, “taking a break” can almost have a shameful or negative connotation, at least in my experience. We’re afraid to take breaks because it makes us feel weak. We’re ashamed to slow down because it means we’re not fast enough to keep up with today’s demanding standards. And you know what happens? When we finally decide we HAVE EARNED a break, we don’t take it the right way. For a lot of us, a nice n’ easy break to take is scrolling on our phones. TikTok Reels Shorts YouTube Comment Sections Snapchat Stories oh isn’t it relaxing! No!!! It’s overstimulation from overexposure and turns into overthinking! aka anxiety!!! The studies are very conclusive that social media and the way we use the Internet are damaging our mental health. Social media has literally rewired how our brains work. Even going on a walk, a lot of people do it to ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING like physical fitness or because it’s trending on TikTok to do hot girl walks and shit like that. Which isn’t a bad thing, I think that is amazing. But the point of taking a break is not to achieve anything, other than RESTORATION of the body/mind/soul. We must break away, temporarily, from the expectations that are weighing heavy on our spirit. As I said, before, this meditation was so much more helpful than ones I’ve done over the years. Others had various premises to persuade me to sit and do nothing: because “I am doing enough, I have enough, I am enough” or as a method “to calm anxiety.” Those are decent enough but they didn’t stick. This meditation taught me a phrase that I can’t believe I’ve never heard before but that I will always come back to. “The opposite of doing is being.” And I am a human being. I’m a human, being. What is the best way/place to be? Surrounded by nature, obviously. Not just surrounded but bathed in it. By bathing in nature we literally cleanse or DETOX our mind/body/soul from the expectations, pressures, and UN-natural stressors of the current-day, civilization we find ourselves in. So I will be going for a 🌊restorative🌊 walk on the beach today, and every day that it fits into my schedule. Because I want to be well. I’m gonna stop asking my friends and loved ones how are you doing? And begin asking them How are you being? What are you being? Who are you being these days?
