Quiet your mind with this practice as you visualize a lovely stream alongside you. It may be helpful when your mind feels busy or emotions feel strong.

Leaf
It is okay for thoughts to come in when trying to focus, acknowledge them and allow them to float on by. Do not float down the stream with them.

Choosing
I love the analogy of staying with or letting go of thoughts and dropping them on a floating leaf and having it float down stream. Do we watch the leaf as it floats away, or refocus on the soft current in front of us? I will stay on shore, watch the stream and wait for the next leaf to float by. A lovely meditation. ๐ŸŒทโค๏ธ

Let it go
You don't have to let a thought control or consume you. You can acknowledge that you had that thought but do not need to follow it

Watch your thoughts
Like leaves on a stream passing.... A calming metaphor. Helps to cultivate acceptance of our thoughts as well as the observer stance.

Thoughts on a leaf
I really liked the metaphor of watching your thoughts be a leaf flowing down a stream. It helps me not linger on my thoughts and let them settle on my brain. I feel more free.

Hard
Took the weekend off from meditating and found todays session especially hard. I couldn't concentrate but i may just be stressed. Hoping tomorrow is better!

Thoughts on a leaf
While I couldn't visualize the stream very well the voice was very calming and I definitely need to work on letting thoughts, especially negative thoughts, go on without me.

There's millions of thoughts floating in my mind every day. And this thoughts brings happiness or sadness. But it's just like people in our lives who passes by and leave.

Thoughts on a leaf
Loved this meditation. I will try it myself when those unwanted thoughts overcrowd my anxious mind. I will just place them on a leaf and let the river carry them away. Thank you

First meditation
I noticed that unwillingly my own thoughts crept in. But I continued to place them on leaves and set them free. When I opened my eyes my mind felt calmer. This might be a good practice to consider!
