These attitudes are the foundations of Mindfulness, they both reflect the way that practice is approached, and also what attitudes are cultivated by it. Qualified mindfulness teachers are assessed on their embodiment of the attitudinal foundations, and thereโ€™s a good reason for this; this quality of embodiment has been shown to make a significant difference to the success of courses such as Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy. This important ingredient is difficult to incorporate into situations without any face-to-face interaction, so this recording is being offered as a way of helping Aura subscribers to consider the significance of attitudes such as acceptance, non-striving, non-judging, letting be, beginnerโ€™s mind, patience, trust, kindness and compassion, and how they relate to mindfulness.

Peace and devistation
I connected through being and meditation with the polar opposites of humanities capabilities. Visiting the most peaceful shrine at Itsukushima shrine and then the site of the Hiroshima Atomic bomb and museum. Profound ๐Ÿ™

Very helpful.....
I learned a lot about mindfulness listening to this instructor. but. As he spoke I made a connection with what he was saying, although my mind wander to experiences that related to what he was saying. I kept doing this through out the entire lecture and Iโ€™m OK with that because I plan on listening to it at least one more time.

Non judgement
I needed this reminder. My mind is always judging. Sometimes it makes good judgements that help me and other times it makes judgments which hurt me. Thank you for reminding me to be more aware as I needed this right now. Also to be ever grateful as there are so many ways I am blessed. Donโ€™t force any feeling, the more you try to force something to come or to go, the longer it takes to manifest. Let go, let it come in itโ€™s own time. Be in the moment. Acceptance. Today is exactly as is should be. Beginners mind, to see everything as a newborn child, with the excitement and enthusiasm as if it is the first time. Thank you for these reminders.

Mindfulness
Today is the first time I truly felt like I understood what mindfulness actually means, and grasped all of the dimensions to Jon Kabat-Zinnโ€™s simple explanation of mindfulness as being the awareness that arises from paying attention to the present moment by conscious choice, non-judgementally. I used to think that mindfulness was on par with ambitions of material success, gain and satisfaction. I think my previous understanding was largely influenced by the Buddhist concept of โ€œsoonyavadโ€ which talks about the detachment from materialistic concerns in order to ascend to the state of pure happiness, or void-โ€œsoonya.โ€ But now I see that mindfulness complements every aspect of our lives. In acknowledging the interim and passing nature of life events and in allowing ourselves to be open to experiencing moments as they are๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ, we truly enable ourselves to be nourished by these experiences without conscious effort. In paying attention to the present we donโ€™t only nourish get nourished by these moments, but nourish them with our attention as well. Mindfulness augments our experiences by enabling us to fully attend to them from the neutral standpoint of an attentive observer. Thank you for this illuminating recording.๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ
