When I get really bogged down in negative, stressful, anxious thoughts, I can feel it in my body - making me tense and causing pain. I try to imagine my head as a balloon filled with these negative thoughts and let it go to float away letting my body do what it needs to do. Then the calmness in my body can refill my mind with positive thoughts.
