The amygdala, the emotional center of the brain operates on delta and sub-delta frequencies. While entrainment in this range is technically impossible (it is not fast enough for the brain to activate the frequency following response), entrainment of delta and sub- delta frequencies has been shown to relieve pain and fibromyalgia, promote accelerated healing, relieve headaches, and promote deeper sleep.
