The Breath: A Self Soothing Mechanism
Much of the time, I have trouble soothing my own emotions. Instead of calming the emotional storm myself, I often look to others to do it for me. Today, however, I realized that through meditation, mindfulness, or pranayama, I can indeed self soothe. It’s time to turn inward, toward the self for calming, rather than to outside sources. All of the wisdom and answers lies within.
