I can’t relax
I’m subconsciously hard on myself all the time. It’s natural to push yourself, but I push myself so hard that any time that I take for myself feels inherently wrong and lazy. When I lie down to bed, sit down to eat, or take a moment to meditate my whole body is screaming at me to get back to work. It’s awful, but I’m aware of it.

Compassion is not just for others. I know this will pass and that nothing is permanent. I also believe that there is opposition in all things which makes the best of times all that more joyful.
