Learning to focus on the breath is one of the most valuable ways of getting present and allowing thoughts, feelings and circumstances to evolve as they do. Focusing on the breath in the rib cage is great way of getting present, accessing a quiet internal state and calming the mind,

Attention
My mind wanders very easily and that is okay. Also, that there are sensations within ourselves that we can feel but only if we are made aware of them and turn our focus to them. There is much within ourselves we do not notice.

Awakening
Everything is going to be alright. I just need to focus on what’s important and forget the rest.

Focusing
Focusing on a specific part of my breathing helps my mind to wonder less, giving me something soecidic to focus on rather than the broad ‘breathing’ I usually do.

Rib cage breathing
This was a different location to focus on during breathing. It helped me to keep attention on the breath and just relax.

Breathing Backwards

Muscles
Being in anatomy, I know what muscles are needed to breathe. I have never paid much attention to them, but it’s a strange sensation when you realized what it really feels like.

Movie
It’s like playing a movie of yourself when you’ll be happy and free from stress. It’s really nice.

Over analyzing
I am dangerously analytical and I was stressing over my dreams from last night, so I wanted to listen to one of these and successfully found a session that helped me relax and bring my mind back into the present and to calm my body down, rather than continue to let my anxiety focus on what-ifs and made-up scenarios.

What
I learnt that instead of asking yourself why has something happened, ask yourself what can/should I do because of this
