When we wake from a nightmare, we can find it hard to settle back to sleep. This meditation helps you to rewrite your nightmare and gently drift back to sleep.

Rewriting a nightmare
I appreciate learning this technique because I had a nightmare last night that lead to poor sleep. This morning I am still feeling edgy. Besides the breathing and relaxation method I like the idea of rescuing myself since sometimes I donโ€™t remember what the dream is about or just thinking about it will send me right back into the scenario. Now I can work at rewriting and hopefully ending the nightmare.

Rewrite nightmare
What a wonderful way to stop the action and turn it around to a positive. Great idea. I felt empowered and strong. Not going to let anything ruin my dreams!

Highly reccomended!!
I used this after watching the first half of Bambi. It was very useful, so now, in my head, Bambi is just a movie about a baby deer and his mother, playing in the forest. I am now less scarred.๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Stress nightmares
I had a nightmare last night - coincidentally coinciding with returning to work after a short break. I know I find work stressful and fast paced, but I cope with it much better after a full nights sleep. I have tried to rewrite the endings of my dreams in the past without much success. Now I will add in meditation, relaxation and deep breathing with the goal to โ€˜rescueโ€™ myself ... I am confident this will work the next time I wake from a bad dream.
