Qigong (loosely translated to mean energy work) is an ancient Chinese practice to help cultivate life force energy and inner harmony of the mind, body, and spirit. While qigong is most known for its moving practices (tai chi is a form of qigong), the standing meditation practice is powerful in and of itself. There are many different standing postures. In this recording, we work with the Wuji posture which is the standard beginning posture with feet shoulder width apart. Standing meditation is meant to be eased into gradually as the body gets used to it both physically and energetically. Start with just a few minutes and build from there. This standing meditation can be done sitting if best for you. In peace and gratitude, Stephanie
