Kind Attention
“Keep your gaze on the wounded place. This is where the light enters.”- Rumi. When we feel vulnerable, whether we are feeling sorrow or in pain, etc., we can get closed off. If we don’t allow ourselves to feel what our body is telling us, those feelings can and will transform into other emotions. Therefore, we need to find a way to accept, allow and be with ‘what is’ in this moment. In this meditation, Cindy guides us through an open awareness into our body as we give kind attention to the areas of our body that need healing.
My heart has been heavy for awhile now as I’ve been dealing with a loss in my life. In addition, I woke up feeling more pain and soreness in my lower back due to doing some heavy cleaning yesterday. Following Cindy’s guidance, I began to give kind attention to these two areas of my body by putting one hand on my heart and my other hand on my lower back and began breathing deeply.
As I breathed deeply into these areas, unraveling each tender layer, my heart and lower back began to soften just a little, just enough to allow for some light to enter. Oh..how nice that light, that kind attention feels to my heart and lower back! Thank you, Cindy for this wonderful healing meditation! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️
