Today i picked my dog as my kind friend
And it made me sad and happy at the same time cause he died a year ago. He was there since i was 2 so i couldn't imagine a life without him in it but now i just think of him sometimes and know he had a life full of love and hopefully he knows how much i loved him and always will !

I felt sad when the narrator said “people often begin to smile at this time”. I wasn’t smiling, and felt bad because I was being compared to others. Avoid the comparison please.

This was a good reminder that it is worthwhile to borrow memories from the past and you don't always have to stay present in the moment, especially if you're having a hard time and need to remember you are loved.

I have a hard time letting people in, even family and friends. This was a great exercise to help break down that wall and cross some of those barriers. Also a great reminder that I do have people who care about me and that have my best interests at heart.

I learned that my true friend is my baby dog tigger. And yes. A smile came to my face when i thought of him. Happily I was also with him physically. But this would be lovely to meditate on when I’m stressed at work and visualize hugging my baby in my arms. Thank you

This meditation was so simple and effective. Not only did it create joy, it also inspired me to be that “kind friend” who could evoke such joy, for someone else. Lindsey’s voice is so comforting to me. I was raised in the U.S. My parents and family are all British and her voice reminds me of my sweet and kind cousin and my mother who both passed away a few years ago. It’s wonderful to feel the love and kindness.

There were several friends at first, then one stood out with her warm smile, kind eyes and slight accent. Feeling my Energy rise up as the Love & Kindness was mutually shared. Since my little kitty was here leaning against my feet, it was her that I thought about. She is a good companion. One who seeks me out now. My husband tells me that when I am very stressed and not sleeping well, just the presence of my kitties brings my breathing to a more peaceful rhythm. :)

I have such a wonderful friend. Not only is she passionate and understanding, but she also patient with me in my healing process. I’m sometimes closed off and would rather be to myself, but rather than get angry that I don’t always call her or hang out, she simply is just there when I need her. When I finally snap out of my funk, she’s always there. I appreciate her so much.

Good Friend. My fur babies like to meditate with me. It calms them down, which in turn allows me to have quiet time. My special friend on this particular meditation was my service dog, Bella, who was laying on my lap quietly. My other pup, Cora was getting a little anxious. An awesome way to start my day! Briefly meditating on the different aspects that make my Bestie such a blessing in my life uplifts me and gives me a positive start to my day. This meditation reminds me to stop looking down and in, focusing inward on myself. When life gets overwhelming this is my natural inclination. As someone with an inherited anxious attachment style, I often wake up feeling alone in the world. It doesn’t occur to me that people still care about me, or miss me, or think about me when I am not with them. I am an island to myself. When this feels heavy, pausing to envision my connection to something living gets me grounded once again. My dogs or cat. My kids. My husband. For beginners or those especially impacted by attachment trauma even connecting first with a tree or crystal (yes, earth’s elements are “living” just as the earth is living) helps. I appreciate that there is a meditation teaching this skill to others as it is truly valid and helpful.
