Choosing Happiness
Our brains are wired towards the negativity bias which is why we tend to focus on the negative in our lives. Our brain is like velcro for negative experiences, but teflon for positive experiences. Over time we can retrain our brain to focus on the positive by taking in the good. When a positive experience happens to you, take a couple of breaths to really let that feeling sink into your being. Stay with the experience for at least 5-10 seconds. Where our energy goes our energy flows. Everyday, we have a choice on how we want to show up in the world today. Today, I choose to focus on what is going right in my life which leads to feeling of happiness.
