There are two ways that we constantly betray ourselves and slow our spiritual progress down: by acting on what we don't believe and by not acting on what we know to be true.

Am I in an abusive relationship with myself?
What a great question! In what areas do I keep making excuses for my behavior? Where am I not living authentically? I’m going to have to think hard on this. Whatever I come up with will be the areas I need to focus on in my transformation journey.

Self Betrayal
This was a powerful coaching session. I learned a lot. When not living our lives according to our core beliefs; our morals and values, we are betraying ourselves. And as this continues to occur, a blind spot is created. All of us have blind spots. I need to put a flashlight on my self betrayal. Really ask myself, why did I do or say that? My heart knew it was wrong. Or if it is habitual, practicing self-awareness will allow me to examine myself. To face it head on. To be strong and make a change! What really got me was learning that anything that happens to me; violence, hurt, etc... originates within ME. That is where self betrayal is when I'm going against what I believe in no matter what reasons I'm telling myself or others to make it okay. Wow. I have some work to do. I want to live my life as my authenticator self. I want to make sure I'm always loving myself and keeping myself safe.
