I learned that to defeat my negative self-limiting thoughts I need to use positive affirmation to help. Saying and thinking thoughts such as “I am good at talking and communicating with people” multiple times to myself I will and should start to believe it. I just need to work on evaluating the things about me that need positive affirmation and use it anytime I use negative self-limiting thoughts. I also liked the strategy of working on one belief at a time. Danger is the drill Sargent barking at me for 2 minutes how I’m responsible for not succeeding in my spiritual growth. Personally, I do not respond well to criticism- because I am my own worst critic. Ironically, 2/3 of the session reminded me of old and provided me with new negative affirmations to reinforce my false belief systems. Let me be authentic and say that upon reflecting on this woman’s voice, I just fantasized about punching that bitch in the esophagus.

We only Act or perform up to our Belief level. If we want more or different results we must raise or change our beliefs. Affirmations are an easy way to change our Beliefs. Retraining the Brain
Positive affirmations will help you mold and retrain your brain from your limiting self beliefs. First you need to figure out what you truly want to achieve. Start out by setting one goal. Then write down 3 positive affirmations that are focused around this one goal. Post these affirmations around your home or even better have it on your main screen on your cell phone as a reminder. Then recite your affirmations out loud for at least 2 weeks or possibly longer to retrain your brain into believing them. Every morning for the last 30 days I have started my day with listening to one of Glenn Harrold’s meditations which is full of affirmations that I recite everyday during my session. My goal is to reverse the effect chronic stress has had on my mind and body. I have noticed a change in my mindset by reciting these affirmations on a daily basis. My mind is becoming more focused on the present, my energy levels are increasing, and I am feeling more positive on a daily basis.

True Positive Language
The easiest and most common pitfall these affirmations will encounter is negative language. If the language suggests in any way that you aren’t fully willing to achieve what the affirmation states you will, the unconscious negative message will include itself in your brain as you continue to commit it to memory and belief. Your affirmation needs to fully believe in you for your post-affirmation self to fully believe. ❤️

Worth a try
I understand the importance of positive affirmations and I found the 7min version with the explanation of how to set my goal and affirmations very helpful and I am going to give it a try. However this is for something ‘trivial’ as in losing the excess weight I put on over Christmas and then comfort eating since my Nanna passed into Spirit. I can see how positive affirmations can help in many situations, however the biggest thing that stops me in life is my health and I just don’t see how positive affirmations can fix my spine and other things... I understand how they can help me to cope with my limitations and perhaps boost the effects of the treatments that I receive and I need to give it a try for a longer period of time than 2 weeks or a month when I have over 30 years of negative self limiting beliefs ingrained in my mind and body 🤷🏻‍♀️

This meditation was perfect for me today because I am trying to lose so much weight. I need to for my health. So I told myself to focus on 10lbs at a time and each 10lbs, I will give myself a reward. So I love the talk of changing your words to more positive talk.

I make a lot of excuses to settle for mediocre. I have set goals that will improve our lives, but something is always holding me back. This showed me that nothing is really holding me back, but myself. My negative belief that it is impossible to change. I need a new home four my four boys, I just need to stop putting off searching just because I don’t feel like going through the process of viewing the homes for the right one. First time buyer, I don’t want to make a mistake. I suffer from sciatica, it has ruined my life. Causing nerve damage to my right leg. My insurance is picky and won’t approve for the mri needed to show the place where the sciatic nerve is being irritated. There is no way to prove it when the only thing that can show nerves in your body is a mri. I am slowly becoming handicapped. I need to fight back. I have been fighting since 2016. I’m tired of fighting. But if o give up now and don’t try harder, I won’t be able to walk and play with my four children that need me. My husband is an alcoholic. He has tried to stop many times. It has caused him to lose his license. Make our marriage rocky since day one. Exposed the kids to alcoholism too soon. But I love him. But if he can’t stop drinking and get it under control, something bad is going to happen one day. But instead of arguing with him, I go and buy it just so he stops being upset.

I can’t say that I learned anything at this point but I did relax for several minutes before playing with the app. I am hoping for great help from this app. I am actually having a good day today. This is not usually the case. I suffer from fibromyalgia and found out 10 months ago that my husband of 12 years had been having an affair for 6 years. I am alone a great deal. I had to move to another state, closer to family. I also had to leave my fur babies with him because that was what was best for them. I have major meltdowns being alone so much. I have filed for disability. I didn’t do so when I had to quit working but it is necessary now. I plan on getting very familiar with the app to see if it can help with these severe meltdowns. I am also completing a cognitive behavioral therapy workbook. Check back with me.
