My parent's house burned to the ground last Novembere. It was a tragedy. And an amazing learning opportunity on how having too much stuff weighs us down, and how buying, and keeping less stuff means more happiness.

Love this
I didnโ€™t loose my belongings in a fire, but I have lost everything nonetheless and I donโ€™t miss any of it. I live near where the Wolsey fire and many others have occurred and I know some people who lost everything became homeless because they didnโ€™t have the financial resources to rebuild. I wonder how they are doing?

Interesting
This was very very interestkng. It got me thinking of some of the many things I have that I simply do not need. It reminded me to Be. Grateful. For. Everything. Right. Now. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”œ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ™‚

Decluttering is happy
Iโ€™m in college and I live with my dad whoโ€™s going through a divorce, and I can say decluttering our house of objects we never use has been so therapeutic!

Less stuff
While we (my family) have definitely bought less over the past 10 years there is still the overwhelming thought to hold onto the old things because "someone might be able to use it later" like mismatched dishes, pots and pans, etc. I hate the thought of it going into a land fill and it is hard to find a place that will actually get these things to those who need them

Declutter
I realized after listening to this I have WAY too much stuff. I look around at piles of stuff and think wish a big vacuum cleaner would suck it all away. My home looks terrible!

Declutter
I look around at all the stuff weโ€™ve collected and I wish I could just have it gone. All that money wasted. I still need to deal with it soon. โ˜น๏ธ

Decluttering
I have been currently going through my stuff lately and getting rid of old clothes, things I just donโ€™t need anymore. Iโ€™m not trying to say anything is more important than any of my other things I am just moving forward with a positive attitude and less stress.

Box by the door Method
I learned that if you keep the box by the door and you put stuff in it and you havenโ€™t missed it or used it in a week, then you know you donโ€™t need it. Same thing with the clothes in my closet. I have so many clothes in my closet that I have not worn in 15 years, but I feel like I should keep it, when really, Iโ€™m never going to wear it again. She has given me the motivation to purge my closet, my kitchen, and junk drawers.๏ฟผ๏ฟผ

Declutter by Fire
I love this mind-set approach to finally letting go of all the unneeded items accumulated over my (and husbandโ€™s ) lifetime so far. It will free up our retirement years to be spontaneous with our time and energy and yes, our resources - financial & spiritual/emotional - to make this the best years. Let the journey begin - Life is too short, not tooโฃ๏ธ 7/8/2021

Owning less
I've always been practical and neat in my life. I have my Mom to credit for that. It's just the way I am. And I'm very happy being that way!

Owning less
I do need to declutter but I try to do it all at once. I think I need to do it based on time instead of by room! Obtaining things will not change my life
