Mindfulness for Wellbeing

This meditation guides you through a simple gratitude practice which can help you to feel a sense of calm and contentment.  Please note: If you are struggling with your mental health it's really important to seek professional help. Grateful for awareness
As I was being guided through this meditation, something was said in a way that triggered a troubling emotion for me. What I am grateful for is that I was aware of it and was able to set it aside momentarily and then deal with it objectively at a proper time.

What a beautiful message. Without a breath I wouldn’t have anything to be thankful for. I smiled through this whole meditation and maybe shed a tear afterwards. I’ve noticed that since my concussion I can be depressed and frustrated with myself if I lose focus with the world around me as well as the world I live in. However, I’m grateful of my health status as of right now and those who are supportive of me. They keep me pushing forward and I’m learning how to do that for myself as well.

Missing meditation causes me to go backwards.
I even loose my breath. I decided to meditate earlier, not before bed as I tend to be tired and skip this important thing. I was surprised that I could come up with things I can be grateful for ,as life for 2 years was been so scary and stressful. There, hopefully, will be an end but getting there is very hard. I have been going to counseling. Believe it or not, Oura and my Oura community has been more help. I get stuck in the mode that I am the only one.

Wow what A whirlwind session... I had a steady constant flow of pictures of people that I’m so grateful for! I love my current job and all the people associated with it! All the groups that I belong to Toastmasters, Concept Therapy, NSA, and my Aura Tribe, friends, family all seem to be there to support me & what I Am Becoming! Next my mind flashed to all the cool places I have had the pleasure to visit and live, again They all seem to support my growth. I see Life as One big fertile garden that I have been lucky enough to be planted in. Everything I need is here to help me grow as mighty as an oak tree, as strong as an elephant & as wise as King Solomon. My belief is - that Gods wish is for me to Become the Best version of me I can! This is Critical! (Read that last paragraph over until you “feel” it’s true for you also) I Am most grateful for the insights I am given. For example - Our True job is to simply stay Focused on what we really want! When I was young
When I was young I lived each day but as I grew they seemed to blend into each other. As I aged I came to appreciate those days again, not always the work week but definitely the weekend. Sometimes the reality of death, is a real tangible thing, like an apple red and juicy ready to be picked off the tree and other times oh so distant. Though tinged with a fear of the unknown, a part of me is so accepting because I instinctually know that part of me will go on and I’m excited about that. I cannot say how I will react that day but I am forever grateful for the people and experiences that have made me, well me.

My mind can swing so quickly sometimes from being grateful to being ungrateful. I believe it’s almost human nature to look for the negative. I also believe that if we start our day on a positive note that maybe we can carry that throughout our day (or at least be mindful that we have the choice to be positive or negative). 🙏🌷

I learned that gratitude is the key to happiness and throughout my day I should focus on taking a mindful moment to focus on gratitude! I was very stressed and just in a anxious and bad mood due to a few things at work.. I am on my lunch break right now and took time to do this mediation as I do almost every day on my lunch break and it has totally increased my mood and helped me so much to just focus on the good and just bring gratitude back into my heart even during the stressful and not so good days or times in our life. If we just take a few minutes throughout or day it’s amazing how much it can enhance our moods and our over outlook! Just in my few minutes from doing this mediation my mood changed tremendously, and before I did it I was just in a funk from work. Gratitude is one of the keys to happiness, I truly believe this! I learned to take time to appreciate the things in life I usually take for granted. I thought about my family, my cat, my warm house, the fact I can walk and run and experience the beauty of nature. It was a valuable reminder to me to focus on all the good things I have rather than those I do not.

I learned that while I have much love in my life: wife, children, family, friends, I spend my days worried about failing them mostly. I expressed an apology to a friend tonight via a text message, for having bothered her looking for a computer dongle I cannot find around the house and thought I might have left in her classroom during a recent meeting there. She told me that I'm never a bother to her and that made me feel really really good!

There exists a practice, that if done on a regular basis, can and will have the ability to change our entire perspective on our life. This practice is called gratitude. In this meditation, we explore this practice and it’s effects on our body. Going inward, I felt the sensations that were always changing in my body. Bringing to mind things I am grateful for, I immediately felt a spark of happiness rise in my chest. Bringing to mind people and pets I am grateful for, I immediately felt that spark of happiness turn into a warm flame of love within my heart. After thinking of everything I am grateful for, I relished in these feelings of appreciation and soon felt them spread throughout my entire body. Feeling the warmth from this flame of love and appreciation flowing within my body, my energy has increased tenfold. Because I love this energy, I will continue to practice gratitude. Adopting a gratitude practice, we go from a place of lack to a place of abundance. I felt and noticed that gratitude should be a part of my nightly prayers.
It’s an awesome way to feel grateful for everything in my life literally, and what exactly I’ve overcome with MLD and other cancer stories. Chemo and radiation neither of which were pleasant, but I am now immune to the macrocytic leukodystrophy with help from my family and especially my brother and Dr. Spitzer, who is as awesome as a MD as he is an explainer of what exactly is happening.
