10 Seconds Away from Peace
When we were young, we were taught to count sheep or “bottles on the wall” to fall asleep or pass the time. Both of which keep us from the present moment. A distraction even.
We lost that sentiment as an adult. How ironic that counting something as constant and consistent as our breath allows us to stay present. Grounds us. Anchors us. It’s been there for us all along. A constant reminder that we’re 10 seconds away from peace.
