Racing thoughts
I went into this meditation with a lot of random thoughts running through my mind. nothing important, but enough to make me anxious. Today's meditation asked me to consider my my mind a clear blue sky and thoughts as just passing clouds. It was pretty cloudy. Maybe too cloudy to even try doing this right now. The mind is very tricky and if left on autopilot it will make as many clouds as you allow. Focusing on my breath let me connect with real self and the clouds slowly disappeared. My meditation ended with a mental picture of the bluest sky that went on forever. "Boundless" as the meditation described. It was a comforting reminder that thoughts "clouds" can be allowed to pass by. It is up to me if to decide what my sky looks like. Seriously, I just decided to head to the beach today with the kids. Have a clear blue day if you want right?

I am a pilot's daughter, and Daddy always said that "visibility unlimited" skies were the most ideal conditions to fly in. The little sounds of my house waking up, the cats at play...i could soar above them and watch them float by. So calming for me.

A simple direct non esoteric cleansing of disruptive thoughts leaving a peaceful open landscape for new light. This is a wonderful meditation for a person such as myself easily caught up by distractions and useless worry.

Amidst Distractions
Today’s meditation brought me to a quiet calmness. I was able to envision “our sky” which was surreal, quiet, enveloping. Then clouds came, those distractions, thoughts of the days activities and sounds of my grandson, & the dogs.... They for the moment were clouds passing. Fleeting thoughts.... some huge cumulus clouds, others thin and wispy cirrus. The speed at which they passed was what made it so surreal. I will take time through my day, today, and allow calmness, through this meditative vision to keep me focused on my tasks at hand and to let those disruptive thoughts and sounds pass quickly, not allowing myself to perseverate to long, allowing me to stay calm. Yet on those tasks and thoughts that need the time, allowing the cloud to stay close, comforting, enabling me to finish my tasks with calmness.

Oh no
I learned how easily distracted I am and got really frustrated with this medication because I couldn’t just focus on the clear blue sky!

I learned that thoughts don’t always need to stay, you can pass them along, just like clouds pass through a sky. Even if it’s a dark thought, or a black cloud, it will pass.

I am able to visualize a clear blue sky more easily than the white light imagery that is often suggested in other meditations. However, there are many white clouds ☁️ passing through...still practicing 🙏🏻

It's been a busy few days, so I had a lot of trouble viewing my thoughts as clouds. I've finally realized that the more tired I get, the harder it is for me to focus. Tomorrow will be my down day for the week and I am both excited and nervous. I either work too hard on my down days or sleep through them. We'll see, maybe it can be a tv and needlework kind of day.

I may have actually dozed off during this one! That’s a first! Guess I’m more tired than I knew! Met with my new Occupational Therapist again today and received some new directives for strengthening my Swiss-cheese-like, stroke-addled mind...looking forward to learning more from this smart, caring woman!

I like continuing with the cloud visualization- its helpful that it stays consistent. Interesting that i WAS thinking about how well i was doing! Its important to recognize that good thoughts can be distracting too. Must stay in balance with the good as well.
